Recently I was lucky enough to have a guided tour around the Emma Bridgewater factory in Stoke on Trent.

I met with my lovely friend Katy, brand manager for Emma Bridgewater.  After kindly showing me a fascinating ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the design studio, I was then taken on a tour of the factory by the very informative Julie. Such a great day out and I cannot recommend the tour highly enough.

Did you know that up to 30 pairs of hands will work on one single Emma Bridgewater mug? Put like that and you realise you are purchasing so much more than a mug, it is a handmade piece of British craftsmanship that has become an institution in its own right.

This is not just pottery, this is Emma Bridgewater!! A truly inspirational day out! Jx
